I believe that each client and their story is unique. I value the relationship and work closely and compassionately with each client in line with their specific needs. I am passionate about both the power of the counselling process and in the individual's ability to heal themselves, given the right conditions. 

My own life experience has presented me with certain challenges and complexities. With particular interest in the exploration of issues regarding self image and limiting beliefs, I have witnessed the ways in which talking therapy and the therapeutic relationship can have a profound effect on a person and their ability to obtain fulfillment in life.

Sessions are client-led, meaning that I respond to what is brought into the room and invite the client to explore their situation at their pace.

My counselling style is Integrative, meaning that I am able to draw upon different therapeutic approaches, responding to each client individually. During the exploration of the client's world, I am able to utilise approaches which may provoke deeper thoughts or uncover new ways of looking at an issue. These approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic/Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt therapy, Existential perspectives and Person Centered counselling.

I can incorporate the use of play or creative therapy to suit younger clients or for use alongside talking therapy and am commited to ensuring I attend regular courses and workshops to expand and update my knowledge.

I hold a BACP Accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
 

I am bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and, as such, uphold a professional responsibility to safeguard the wellbeing of my clients, maintaining their privacy and confidentiality and working respectfully, with their best interests at the forefront of my mind.
